ORDINANCE N0. 514, BEING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REFUND-
ING OF CERTAIN TAXES WRONGFULLY IMPOSED FOR SPECIAL IMPROV24ENTS UPON
PROPERTY NOT WITHIN THE SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND FOR THE REMOVAL
OF SAID PROPERTY FROM ASSESSMENT ROLLS OF SAID DISTRICTS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL,
MONTANA;
That, whereas certain hereinafter described property was not
originally included within the boundaries of Special Improvement District
No. 81 and Special improvement District No. 82, previously created and
set up by the City of Laurel, and whereas said property was erroneously
assessed special improvement taxes for the year 1957 for said Districts,
and whereas the error in assessing said property was not discovered in
time to remove said assessment from said property before the tax state-
ment was made and delivered to Yellowstone County, Montana;
Now, Therefore., it is hereby ordered that upon the hereinafter
described property paying the special improvement taxes erroneously
assessed for Special Improvement District No. 81, and Special Improvement
District No. 82, and the receipt of said taxes by the City Treasurer of
the City of Laurel, that the same be refunded by the City Treasurer of
the City of Laurel upon the hereinafter described property. I
It is further ordered that said hereinafter described property
be stricken from the assessment rolls for said Special improvement District
No. 81 and Special Improvement District No. 82 for future years.
