ORDINANCE NO. 506
ORDINANCE NU. 504, BEUG AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE OFFIC& OF
DEPUTY CITY CLERK AND DEPUTY CITY TREASURER; PROVIDING FOR SUCH OFFICES
TU BE HELD BY THE SAME PERSON; PROVIDING FOR THE CUMPENSATIUN OF SUCH
PERWN OR PaSONS, DE5IGXLTING THE SOURCE OF FUNDS FUR SUCH COMPENSATION;
GENERALLY SETTING FORTH THE DUTIES OF SUCH OFFICES; PROVIDING FOR THE
SEPERABILITY OF SUCH SECTIONS AS MAY BE INVALID OR UNCONSTITUTIONAL,
AND REPELLING ALL ORDINANCES OR FARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CUNFLICT HEREWITH-
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CUUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL,
COUNTY OF YF.LLUWSTUNE, STATE OF MONTANA;
SECTION l: That the office of Deputy City Clerk is hereby created:
SECTION 2: That the office of Deputy City Treasurer is hereby
created;
SECTION 3: That in the discretion of the City Council such
offices created in preceding sections 1 and 2 may be held by the same
person, to be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council,
namely, Mrs. Frances P. Fisher, as of this date;
SECTION 4: That the Deputy City Clerk shall receive the sum of
$150.00 per month or more from time to time, as compensation for services
rendered, which sum shall be paid from the budget of the City Clerk;
SECTION 5: That the Deputy City Treasurer shall receive the sum
of $50.00 per month as compensation for services rendered, which sum
shall be paid from the General Fund of the City of Laurel, Montana;
SECTION b: That the deputies so employed shall perform such
duties as shall be coincident to the principal offices, and shall be
under the general supervision of the principal office holders, and the
Mayor and City Council;
SECTIuN 7: That the provisions of this ordinance shall be severable
and if any section or sections shall hereafter be held invalid or uncon-
stitutional,, the remaining sections shall be in fall force and effect;
SECTION 8: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed;
SECTION 9: An emergency and urgency for this ordinance is hereby
declared to, and does exist, and the same shall take effect and be in

force immediately from and after its passage.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, and
approved by the Mayor, this 2nd day of July, in the year 1957.
