AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND PROHIBITING PARKING ON CERTAIN STREETS
WITHIN THE CITY OF LAUREL DURING CERTAIN HOURS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ALLOWING SAID STREETS TO BE CLEANED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTAiNA:
Section 1: That the City Engineer of the City of Laurel shall
provide that certain streets, as is hereinafter designated, shall be
regularly swept and cleaned.
Section 20 That the streets to be cleaned under this Ordinance
are as follows: Main Street of the City of Laurel from its inter-
section with Wyoming Avenue on the East to its intersection with
Fourth Avenue on the West; First Avenue North from its intersection
with Main Street on the South to its intersection with Third Street
on the North; First Street from its intersection with Second Avenue
on the West to its intersection with Montana Avenue on the East;
Colorado Avenue from its intersection with Main Street on the South
to its intersection with First Street on the North; Montana Avenue
from its intersection with Main Street on the South to its inter-
section with First Street on the North.
Section 3: That for the purpose of allowing and facilitating
said street cleaning, no vehicle shall park on the above designated
streets on Mondays and Thurday morning from 3A.M. to 7 A.M.
Section 4: Any officer of the Police Department of the City of
Laurel, is hereby directed to remove any vehicle found parked on said
designated streets within the above designated hours; Xa.id officers
to cause said vehicle to be towed away by any towing service or garage
and the owner of said vehicle shall be required to pay ea y towing; and
storage charges for the'removal of the sane. That in addition, any
persons violating the terms of this Ordinance by leaving a vehicle
parked within said designated areas within the prohibited hours thereof#
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be
subject to a minimum fine of $5.00 and a maximum fine of $50.00.
Section 5: Any ordinance or portion thereof in confli&* with
this Ordinance is hereby repealed.
Section 6: An urgency and emergency for this Ordinance is hereby
declared to, and does exist and the wame shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
