BEING AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING, ABANDONING, AND VACATING A
PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 7 OF THE LAUREL REALTY SUBDIVI-
SION TO THE TOWNSITE OF EAST LAUREL, NOW CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of July, 1958, a petition was duly filed.in.the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Laurel, Montana, by Oliver F. Wold and Georgia
E. Wold, praying that a certain portion of the property, as hereinafter described
of Block 7 in the City of Laurel, Montana, be discontinued, abandoned, and vacated
by said city;
AND WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for hearing protest of said pet-
ition was duly published in the Laurel Outlook, a newspaper of general circulation
published in the City of Laurel, Montana, and in an issue thereof, published on
Wednesday, theme' day of July, 1958, and three copies of said notice were
posted in three public places of said City by order of the City Council of the
said city;
AND WHEREAS, in said notice Tuesday, the 5th day of August, 1958, at 7:30
o'clock P.M. at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall at Laurel, Montana,
was the time and place fixed for hearing protests on said petition, and whereas
no protests were made in writing or in person; and whereas the City Council of
Laurel, Montana finds that said petitione;r:sl-are the sole owners of all of the
property abutting on said alley to be discontinued, abandoned and vacated and that
portion of said alley to be discontinued, abandoned and vacated can so be done
without detriment to the public interest;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LAUREL, MONTANA: That the following described portion of the alley in the
City of Laurel, Montana, to-wit:
That portion of the alley running East and West in Block Seven
(7) of the Laurel Realty Subdivision to the Townsite of East
Laurel, now City of Laurel, Yellowstone County, Montana,
and being more particularly described as: Beginning at a
point, said pbint being the Southwest corner of Lot Eleven
(11) in the said Block Seven (7) thence East 140 feet along
the South line of Lot Eleven (11) to the Southeast corner of
Lot Eleven (11) thence South 20 feet to a point on the North
line of Lot Six (6) in said Block Seven (7) thence West 140
feet to the Northwest corner of Lot Ten (10) in Block Seven
