HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 517 ORDINANCE NO. 517 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVAL, CONVERSION, DEMOLITION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, USE, HEIGHT, AREA AND MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS OR STRUC- TURES IN THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA: COLLECTIONS OF FEES THEREOF: DECLARING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONES: PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA: Section 1: That a certain document, one copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Laurel, Montana, being marked and designated as "Uniform Bu- ilding Code, 1958 Edition" as adopted at the Thirty-fifth Annual Business Meeting of the International Conference,of Building Officials on September 13, 1957, be and the same is hereby adopted as the building code of the City of Laurel, Montana, for regulating the erection, construction, enlarge- ment, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, con- version, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and mainten- ance of all buildings and, or structures in the City of Laurel, Montana: providing for issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor, providing penalties for violation of such code; declaring and establishing fire zones; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of such "Uniform Building Code, 1958 Edition and Appendix," published and adopted by the Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference, on file in the office of the City Clerk and here- by referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Ordinance. Section 2: If any section, paragraph, phrase or provis- ion of this Ordinance shall be adjudged unconstitutional or invalid all other parts, provisions, and sections of this Ord- inance not expressly held to be unconstitutional shall continue in full effect and force. Should any provision of this Ordinance be in conflict with an existing Ordinance at the time of passage of this said Ordinance, the provisions of this Ordinance shall prevail.
