ORDINANCE NO.
BEING AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING, ABANDONING, AND VACATING A
PORTION OF FOURTH AVENUE IN THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of December, 1957, a Petition
was dulyled in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Laurel, Mou#ana, by Clay Greening of Laurel, Montana, praying
that a certain portion, as hereinafter described, of Fourth
Avenue in the City of Laurel, Montana, be discontinued, aband-
oned, and vacated by said city;
AND WHEREAS notice of the time and place for hearing pro-
tests on said petition was duly published in the Laurel Out-
look, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published in
the City of Laurel, Montana, in an issue thereof published
on Wednesday, the 8th day of January, 1958, and three (3)
copies of said notice were posted in three (3) public places
in said city by order of the City Council of said city;
AND WHEREAS in said notice, Tuesday, the 21st day of
January, 1958, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. at the City Council
Chamber of the City Hall in the City of Laurel, Montana was
fixed as the time and place for hearing protests on said pet-
ition;
AND WHEREAS no protests were made in writing or in person;
AND WHEREAS the City Council fo the City of Laurel, Montana,
findstthat said petitioner is the sole owner of all of the pro-
perty abutting on that side of said street to be discontinued,
abandoned and vacated and that said portion of said street can
be abandoned, vacated and discontinued without detriment to
the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA:
Section 1. That the following described portion of
Fourth Avenue within the City of Laurel, Montana, to--witl
I.
That portion of the street adjacent to
Lot Ten (10) in Block Three (3) of the
Toast Laurel Subdivision being described
as: Beginning at a point on the West
Line of Block Three (3) of the East
Laurel Subdivison of the original Town-
site of East Laurel, said point being
the Northwest Corner of Lot Ten (10),
thence South 19026 minutes East a dis-
tance of 128.5' to the Sotithwest Corner
of said Block Three (3), thence Wes6 a
distance of 89.70', thence North 10
West a distance of 55.341, thence
North a gistance of 46.72', thence
North 70 34 minutes East a distance
of 59.98' to the point of beginning
containing a total area of 0.40 acres.
