ORDINANCE No, 537
BEING AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING, ABANDONING, AND VACATING
A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK FIVE (5) OF THE HAGLMAN SUBDIVISION,
SECOND FILING, TO THE TOWNSITE OF EAST LAUREL, NOT CITY OF LAUREL,
MONTANA.
WHEREAS., on the 5th day of May, 1959, a petition was duly
filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Laurel, Montana$
by Be Be and Mabel Ha geman, and Kenneth Go & Jean 0,. Hageman, praying
that a certain portion of the property, as hereinafter described, of
Block Five (5) Hageman Subdivision, Second Filing, in the City of
Laurel, Montana, be discontinued, abandoned, and vacated by said City;
AND WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for hearing protest
of said petition was duly published in the Laurel Outlook, a newspaper
of general circulation published in the City of Laurel, Montana, and
in an issue thereof, published on Wednesday, the 13th day of May,
1959, and three copies of said notice were posted in three public
places of said City by order of the City Council of the said city;
AND WHEREAS, in said notice Tuesday, the 19th day of May,
1959, at 7:30 otclock., P.M., at the City Council Chambers in the City
Hall at Laurel, Montana, was the time and place fixed for hearing
protests on said petition, and whereas no protests were made in writing
or in person; and whereas the City Council of Laurel., Montana, finds
that said petitioners are the sole owners of all of the property
abutting on said alley to be discontinued, abandoned and vacated and
that portion of said alley to be discontinued., abandoned and vacated
can so Its done without detriment to the public interest;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LAUREL, MONTANA: That the following described portion of the alley
in the City of Laurel, Montana, to«•wit:

All of the alley in Block Five (5) Hageman Subdivision,
Second Filings lying in Section 16, T2Ss R 24BO M.P.M., and more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot Bight (8) in
Block Five (5) of said Hageman Subdivision, Second Filing., thence
West Twenty (201) feats thence North 00 35t West to the Northeast
corner of Lot Twelves (12)s thence North 700 56x east to the North-
west corner of Lot ls, thence South 00 35r east to the point of
be3ginningg and the same be and hereby is discontinued, abandoned
and vacated.
