HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 5350 0 ORDINANCE NO. 535 BEING AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC IN TWO NORTH-SOUTH DRIVE-WAYS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA: Section 1: That whereas the City Council of the City of Laurel has deemed that the hereinafter described drive-ways create an inherent and dangerous traffic situation and whereas it is necessary that the traffic using said drive- ways be regulated and made one-way traffic. Section 2: It is therefore hereby ordanined that hereafter traffic shall be one-way only, that is, entrance from Main Street only upon those two drive- ways abuting upon Main Street, the same being that certain drive-way lying and being on Lot Six (6) in Block Three (3) of the Laurel Realty Subdivision to the City of Laurel, (Foodtown Store premises), and on Lot Seven (7) in Block Two (2) of the Laurel Realty Subdivision to the City of Laurel, (Owl Cafe premises). That exit from said premises shall be to the alley only. Section 3: The Police Department of the City of Laurel and the Police Chief thereof, are hereby authorized and directed to install a sign on both ends of the drive-ways showing the same to one-way traffic. Section 4: That after the installation of such signs showing one-way traffic, any person violating the terms of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of a minimum of $5.00 and not exceeding $50.00.
