HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 542 ORDINANCE NO. 542 ORDINANCE NO. 542, BEING AN ORDINANCE DEFINING THE DUTIES OF THE LAUREL FIRE DEPARTMENT AND THE LAUREL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT IN REGARD TO THE USE OF A RESUSCITATOR. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Laurel Fire Department has a resuscitator which is in demand and is used in emergency situations regarding the health and welfare of the city inhabitants of the City of Laurel, and WHEREAS, it is sometimes necessary that a trained member of the Laurel Fire Department, or the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, use said resuscitator upon an injured or ill person, SECTION 2. NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED, that it shall be the duty of any member of the Laurel Fire Department, or the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, when the same is called to use the Laurel Fire Department resuscitator, to operate and use the said resuscitator upon any person needing the same, and to continue to operate and use the same, if it be necessary, when such person is being transported to any doctor or hospital, 'whether inside or outside the corporate limits of the City of Laurel, or whether such person is being transported in any private, city or commercial vehicle.
