HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 5410 • ORDINANCE 140. --.541 AN ORDINANCE REWIRING THE REGISTRATION AND LICENSING OF BICYCLES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL: SECTION :1. That whereas, the City Council of the City of Laurel, finds that it is necessary that bicycles shall be registered with the City Treasurer of the City of Laurel, and licensed, in order to effectively control the theft of bicycles and the regulation of traffic in the City of Laurel. SECTION 2. That hereafter, all bicycles within the City of Laurel must be be registered by their owners with the City Treasurer of the City of Laurel and at which time pay the sum of One Dollar and no/100 ($1.00) per year for licensing and registering said bicycle. SECTION 3. That any person operating any bicycle over any street, alley ok thoroughfare within the City of Laurel, without having registered the same and paid a license fee therefor;, shall be guilty of misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall pay a fine of not less than $2.00, nor more than $10.00. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its passage. Passed by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, and approved this 1st day of December, 1959.
