AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAUREL TO AMEND A PORTION OF
TABLE 17.20.010 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED
AUCTION HOUSE EXCLUDING LIVESTOCK TO ALLOW IN THE
CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT THROUGH SPECIAL REVIEW.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to attract prospective businesses to the City of Laurel
and create opportunities for such businesses by allowing auction houses excluding livestock in
expanded zoning districts upon special review; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the residents of the City of Laurel to adopt this
Ordinance to provide for uniform and orderly growth for the City in accordance with the Laurel-
Yellowstone City-County Planning Board Growth Management Policy.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA,
Table 17.20.010 of the Laurel Municipal Code is amended as follows:

This Ordinance becomes effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on
June 2 , 2009, by Council Member Rodgers
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second reading this 7th day of
July ?_, 2009, upon motion of Council Member Rodger,
