Minutes of June 8, 2009 were approved as submitted
Randy still available in July to consult with us and discuss new projects
Shirley discussed with the mayor the issue of the Advisors not able to make most of the
meetings except for Steve Zeier. Shirley asked the mayor's guidance as to how to
proceed.
James said 1. the railroad is in ongoing discussion with the City of Laurel as to the
possibility of a long term lease of the property on Main Street, 2. Ok to send a letter from
the Mayor to property owners about the survey, 3. In discussing fagade programs and
ideas James thought it best to prepare a Power Point presentation to take to City Council
Opening of the new stadium will be either August 27 or 29. We will work to be part of
that and have surveys possibly filled out at the same time.
Daniel Klein made a motion "to have Laurel Urban Renewal Agency take a risk of
committing $35,000 a year for a sewer/water installation across Main Street when the
street is being resurface this year. Dirk seconded the motion and it was passed
unanimously.
