CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
AUG. 17, 1993 6:30 P.M.

The Mayor introduced Peggy Schram the new City Engineer and Public
Works Director.
Albert Ehrlick asked why the drain at the underpass can't be rodded
out. It appears that it is plugged somewhere between the East
drain and the West drain. Chuck stated that he talked to the
people at the state and they are going to do it sometime next week.
Albert asked about the fence that had been put up near South 5th
Ave. This is the area where the road needs to be widened.
Albert asked what has been done regarding the exit on the back side
of the Spruce Grove apartments. Chuck stated that a letter was
sent out but he doesn't know what the follow up has been. He will
check on this.
Albert asked why there are so many "unknowns" listed with parking
violations. John Rosenberg reported that sometimes the owner is
not known and with parking tickets the violator has the option of
having his name omitted.
L.D. stated that Herman Sorg talked to him today about the loading
and unloading zone on Washington Ave. Herman wanted to know if he
needed to have his Attorney with him at the meeting tonight. Chuck
stated that the public hearing will not be held tonight.
Chuck reported that the swimming pool had to shut down early due to
a break in the main water pipe and the pumps being flooded. Chuck
stated that something will need to be done before next year.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
