RE: Limited Notice to Proceed with the City of Laurel's Wastewater Systems Improvements
Project, Contract #MT-TSEP-CG-08-390
Dear Mayor Olson:
The City of Laurel was awarded a $750,000 grant from the Treasure State Endowment Program
(TSEP) by the 2007 Legislature to make improvements to its wastewater system. In
accordance with the terms of Section 8 of the subsequent contract:
the Department of Administration's Local Government Services (LGS) Bureau has
confirmed that the Town has complied with audit and reporting requirements, and has an
accounting system, which reasonably conforms to Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP).
the Town has provided an acceptable project management plan and implementation
schedule, and
the Town completed STEP 1 requirements for the firm commitment of funds, as outlined
in "Exhibit 1-E" of the TSEP Grant Administration Manual.
The Town has met its requirements to receive a "Limited Notice to Proceed" and should
consider this letter authorization to be reimbursed up to $22,500 for project administration and
final engineering design expenses incurred on or after July 1, 2007, in addition to reasonable
expenses related to attending. the TSEP grant administration workshop. Once certified bid tabs
are submitted STEP 2 requirements will be satisfied and TSEP funds will be released for the
remainder of the project's eligible expenses.
