Darrell Thompson reported on the evaluation he had made
of our present pool. He said that due to water loss, the
pool is filled eight times a season. We are using 60 bags
of filter media when we should be using 15 bags and a
problem exists in the circulation of the pool. There
currently is 8 inlets into the pool, Thompson recommends
20.
Estimates to repair the pool include: $43,000 to
$45,000 for a plastic-type liner that is applied to the
existing wall; $45,000-$47,000 for a new gutter system;
$70,000 for a stainless steel insert. Totally we are
looking at 5120,000 to $150,000. A sand filter system 100,
would be $8,000 and a twin-tank sand filter system would be
$14,500.
Some work is going to have to be done this year on the
deck regardless of what we do with the pool itself.
Another problem some day will be the drain in the bottom of
the pool.
