Park Committee
February 24, 1994
5:00-5:48 p.m.
Attending: Gay Easton, Lonnie Kellogg, Dave Michael, Ron Faught,
Donna Kilpatrick, chairman..
Gay moved, Lonnie seconded that we allow the Laurel Federal Credit Union to
have an Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, March 26 in Russell Park, Motion carried.
Discussion was held on Aviation Days, April 27-30. Thomson Park will be used.
Gay and Mayor Rodgers are working with Jack Bayne in planning the event.
Clean-up Day will be April 23 instead of April 30 as it will be in the rest of the
county because of the Aviation Day activities. Alley clean-up will be April 25-29.
Ron Faught expressed concern that if the school bond issue is successul and the
city cannot take charge of the middle school gymnasium, the building will be razcd. A
need exists for more gym space not less. An official decision has not been made
concerning the possibility of the city operating the gymnasium as a community recreation
facility.
The meeting adjourned at 5:48 p.m.
