PARK COMMITTEE
MARCH 24, 1994 5:00 P.M.

Linda Potter attended the meeting in regard to her son Mark who as
an Eagle Scout wishes to improve the old concession stand in
Thomson Park by replacing the roof and painting the building to
coincide with the colors of the other buildings in the Park. This
matter was referred to Dave.
Vandals have damaged the storage building in the area of Athletic
Field, which also houses the electrical box. The repair of the
bricks was done by Cleve Hull.
Druann Kerns, a representative of the concession committee for the
Aviation Awareness week attended the meeting to update the
committee of plans they have for selling concessions Friday night
is in the shelter (April 29th). They have reserved the shelter for
that evening.
Dave reported on the pool repair project. The deck and the drain
in the bottom of the pool will be replaced.
Some concern was raised over the proposed new school building
possibly encroaching on the Park property in the area of the
parking lot off 8th Street. The committee has never been
approached by that group.
Some work needs to be done on the ice skating rink in Thomson Park
in the area of leveling. Some grass can be seen through the ice
which makes it difficult to skate. Dave will take care of this.
Gay will check to see if the flag at the shelter needs to be
replaced.
