Donna Kilpatrick, chairman
Dave reported on the status of the lifeguard/manager
applications. To date we have received applications from
eight returning lifeguards and one new applicant. We need
18 guards for the season. We haven't received an
application for a recreation director although two have
exprsessed an interest.
Dave. moved, Emelie seconded that we place a 300 gallon
garbage can outside the fence at the E. 8th, baseball
complex and schedule two pick-ups a week during the
baseball season. Motion carried. Following the season the
can will be removed as the property is outside the city
limits.
Work on removing the deck area at the pool is
continuing by city crews. Hopefully, someone will bid on
the cement replacement. Several contractors have been
approached to bid but so far no bid has been submitted.
The Good Sam Gallivanters will meet in Riverside Park,
Saturday, April 16 to clean the area to the right of the
entrance road, replace broken boards on picnic tables and
paint them. A letter of appreciation will be sent to that
group which has for several years worked to clean up and
improve Riverside Park.
Ace Electric is installing an additional underground
electrical line to the shelter for use during Aviation Day
with the understanding the line would be removed after the
evens. If the cost of the line isn't prohibitive, we will
try to keep the line in place. .
Clean-up Day is April 23 and alley clean-up is April
25-29.
Respectively submitted
