'PARK COMMITTEE
JUNE 8, 1995
ATTENDING: Jim Flisrand, Lonnie Kellogg, Bill Brennan, Donna

Jane Barnes, Jean Carroll Thompson,
Jane reviewed her plans for the 1995 recreation program in the
parks. She has bowling, tumbling, a track camp, swimming, art
classes, arts and crafts, tennis,soccer, and an adventure camp
for 3 to 5 years old. She also plans to have a float in the Fourth
of July parade. A $5 tee shirt, advertising the program, is being
made available to those who wish to purchase one. It is
optional.
Jim moved, Bill seconded that we allow the Laurel Women in
Business Inc. to sponsor the Awesome August Adventure (AAA)
to be held Friday, Aug. 11 in Fireman's Park It is a pre-school
event for kids and will involve a pet show, Zoo Montana, special
entertainment; longest banana split in Montana, and other like
programs.
Jim moved, Bill seconded that we allow the Festival in the Park
to be held in Fireman's Park Friday, Sept. 22. There will be
dancing, entertainment, crafts, food., etc. from about 9 a.m. to 5
p.m.
It was recommended that the tennis courts be signed to keep
kids off the courts for everything other than tennis. Jim said he
would look into this.
The meeting adjourned at 6 p.m.
