SEPT. 28, 1995
5 P.M. TO 6:21 PM.
Attending: Lonnie Kellogg, Gay Easton, Bill Brennan, Jun Flisrand,
Donna Kilpatrick, chairman
Others: Byron Guenthner, Laurel Lions Club.
Byron Guenthner attended the meeting as a representative of the Laurel Lions
Club which is planning to search for grant funds in order to begin a beautification
project at South Pond. Copies of the master plan for the pond area were given to
Guenthner and he will check with Jim to get the latest additions to the plan.
The committee will prepare a park policy booklet which will include a policy
on loaninglmoving picnic tables from city parks and shelter.
Gay moved, Bill seconded that alter the review of minutes and records and
C vim= interviews with former city officials, the maintenance of the sidewalks and trees
which were planted in the Downtown Beautification Project of the Laurel Woman's
Club is the responsibility of the property owner. Motion carried.

BMI-moved, Jim seconded-that-the-concrete-playground-equipment in -Nutting
and Russell Parks be removed. Motion carried. The culvert playground pieces are
damaged causing rough jagged areas that are a potential safety hazard for children.
The park committee will be meeting once a month--the fourth Thursday of the
month at 5 p.m. in city council chambers.
The meeting adjourned at 6:21 p.m.
