PARK COMMITTEE

ATTENDING: Bill Brennan, Jim Flisrand, Dave Michael, Andy Loebe

Discussion was held concerning having a recreation director assume duties
which would include supervising the city recreation program and the pool operation.
The pool manager would still be in charge of the pool but would work with the
recreation directior on scheduling, swimming lessons, etc. Jane ?res the recreation
director who we hired last year and conducted a very successul recreation program, is
interested in this position. Funding details and exact work assignment must still be
worked out.
Jim reported on information he has received concerning lifeguard certification
classes and on the underground watering system at Thomson Park. He will continue
looking into both these projects.
