Members representing clubs whose meeting places are located in
in Riverside Park attended the meeting in response in a letter sent by the park
committee regarding the condition of the entrance sign at the park. It is in need of
repair. The intent of the meeting was to determine if the groups were interested in
contributing to the purchase of a new sign or if it was felt the sign was all right, just in
need of some help. Those in attendance said they would check with the memberships
of each of their groups concerning the proposal and return to the April 11 meeting of
the park committee with an assessment.. Jim Flisrand will " ? series of cost figures
for a new sign, a repaired sign, etc and get that information to each group for their
consideration.
In other business, we are still receiving information on the lifeguard
certification classes which may be available. A letter has been sent to those persons
who have been employed in the past at the pool informing them of the need for making
application if they are interested in lifeguarding again.
Jim is continuing to find information about an underground watering system in
Thomson Park. Some money is budgeted and at least a small area can maybe done this
year.
The committee is open to any and all ideas on coping with the transient problem
in Fireman's Park.
The next meeting will be March 14 at 5 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Donna Kilpatrick,
chairman
