Jack Bayne outlined the plan for Aviation Day planned for May 3rd
at Thomson Park and the Laurel Airport.
01?' Motion, by Miles Walton., seconded by Gay Easton, that we rent
f 10 porta-potties to be placed in Thomson Park for Aviation Day.

There will be 5,000 students from 41 area schools expected for the
Friday session. Saturday is intended for the adults to be able to
view the displays.
Streets requested to be closed at E. 6th Street from 1st Avenue to
Wyoming Avenue; Wyoming Avenue from E. 6 Street to E. 8th
Street; and E. 8th Street from 1st Avenue to `atTey between the
school practice field and Pennsylvania Avenue.
Motion by Gay Easton, seconded by Miles Walton, that we allow
the Laurel Little League/Laurel Dodgers group to hire an individual
to operate the concession stand but that the two groups remain in
con
trol . Motion carried.

The suggested time for the pool opening and closing is June 10th
and August 25th.
A schedule of games will be requested from the Little League in
order to arrange for watering.
Clean up day is April 27th.
The committee saw no problem in allowing the Laurel Girls Softball
Association to plant the center field fence and the backstop at the
southeast corner of the park.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:14 p.m.
