ATTENDING: Gay Easton, Miles Walton, Jim Fhsrand, Dave Michael

Gay moved, Miles seconded that we deny a request from the Little League/ American
Legion baseball programs to sell beer from the concession stand in Thomson Park on July 4. Motion
carried.
Miles moved, Gay seconded that we allow the Laurel Lions Club to work with Jim and
proceed with the existing plan for improving South Pond. Jim will contact the Trade Port and try to get a
grant writer for the project to apply for CTEP funds. Motion carried.
Discussed the work crew for opening the pool and agreed that group should begin May
28. Applicants will be interviewed for the manager, assistant manager and head lifeguard positions.
A letter will be sent to the groups that participated in past Fourth of July celebrations
requesting a list of activities, times, prices, etc. to be submitted to the park committee by May 21.
The committee recommends accepting Magnus Tree Service's proposal to prune 10 trees
in the city for $50 per tree.
