COUNCTL CHAMBERS MEMBERS PRESENT: Ron Marshall Miles Walton Phil Curry Jim Flisrand Chuck Rodgers Gay Easton Andy Loebe Jeanette Dolechek Discussion on engineering fees for the 18-inch waterline from South 4th Street to Railroad Street. Council approved adding this section of line to the Water Plant /Distribution project at the September 19, 1995 council meeting. Consultant has recently submitted agreement to increase engineering fees for said work. Mayor is authorized to sign agreement as referenced in Resolution R 95-3. Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Phil Curry, to approve the engineering fees. Motion carried. The question of installing a fluoride feeding system at the new contact basin as part of the Water Plant project was discussed. Committee requested additional information for council to consider. Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Jim Flisrand, to eliminate fluoride application. Motion carried. Committee acknowledged the State Community Public Water Supply Fee Payment of $ 2.00 per active connection. This fee is a annual requirement assessed of all water users once a year. Assessment will be sent in the April billing. General discussion on relocating water meter remote readouts. There is becoming more problems in obtaining access to meters and remotes due to locked gates, large dogs, hedges, and residents/business not accessible. The committee supports the need to relocate remotes, and suggested a policy be prepared and determine approximate number of problem areas at this time. General update of Water Plant intake lines. However the design of the turn around is very restrictive to traffic. Current design would not accommodate busses, fire trucks or any vehicles larger than automobiles with any degree of safety. The total street area planned for construction would be 240 feet by 38 feet which equals 1100 sq. yds. A. Gravel 1. Remove all material and import new material a.
