PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE
JULY 10, 1995 5:30 P.M.

1) Mike Hoffman on East Railroad Street is requesting:
a. Larger water line to business (he now has a 1" line
and wants to put in a 2" line)
b. Or, he would like to separate his residence from
his business (City does not allow pigtailing)
Jim Flisrand will check with the City Attorney regarding any
ordinances that pertain to this issue.
Motion by L.D. Collins, seconded by Jeanette Dolechek, to
allow a separate commercial tap so that there is no pigtailing.
Motion, carried 6--1.
2) Question on making or adding a 3/4" line at the water
standpipe. The committee recommended not to proceed with this
idea.
3) Al Hicks would like to convert his sanitary sewer system, on
his new property on E. Railroad. The sewer line appears to be
private, however the City is concerned with allowing
additional hookups out the city limits. This will be brought
to the council for a discussion.
4) Discussion was held on the underpass.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
