PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE MEETING
NOVEMBER 13, 1995
CITY HALL
5:00 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Ron Marshall, co-chairman Albert Ehrlick
Jim Flisrand Dave Michael
Dave Michael brought to the attention of the committee
a letter he had received from the State Water Quality Bureau
assessing a $2.00 fee for each water service. He was unable
to determine what exactly they wanted and will check further
into this matter.
Ron Marshall mentioned the utility pole that sits on the
eastside of third avenue between main street and first street.
This pole is adjacent to Fibervision and presents a safety
hazard. Jim indicated that he will contact the power company
and have them move it.
Jim commented on the water line on main street between
Coast to Coast and the King Koin Laundromat. He said lately
there have been about five leaks and he is getting adverse
comments from the dental office and laundromat because their
water service has been interrupted. He said he would like to
replace and upgrade this line from it's present eight inches
to twelve inches. With the upcoming water project he feels
that it will be necessary to do this.
Albert Ehrlick commented on the manhole cover between
Woodland Avenue and Yellowstone Avenue on West Railroad Street.
He feels that it is too far below the road surface and causes
a severe "bump" when someone drives across it. Jim said he
will check into this.
Meeting adjourned at 5:20 P.M.
Res a tfully submitted,
Ron Marshall, co-chairman
