A quorum of three (3) or more members being present the
following business was conducted;
First Item of Business; Bill Caton appeared before the
committee in regard to his water bill dated 4-11--94. He
explained that he had been billed for 22 units of water where
previous usage had been about 2-3 units. Mr. Caton stated that
this property at 405 Yellowstone had been vacant for all of
this billing period. He stated that he had done some replumbing
in the basement area of the house. L. D. Collins asked if he
had hit or banged on the pipes in any way that could have caused
the remote unit to "jump" thus causing the high reading. Mr.
Caton stated that he had not. Mr. Caton was asked if he had
a leaky toilet during this time. He stated that during the
replumbing that the water had been shut off at the meter and
that after his work was done and water turned on he wasn't aware
of any leak. Sharon Herman showed the committee a worked order,
completed by John Minch, that showed the water meter tested
100% accurate. After lengthy discussion between Mr. Caton and
the committee, a motion was made by Sharon Herman, seconded
by Bob Graham, not to give Mr. Caton an adjustment. Motion
carried. Mr. Caton was advised that he could come to the Council
if he desired.
