BOX 10 LAUREL, MONTANA 59044 JUNE 29, 1993 STREET & ALLEY COMMITTEE: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Due to the long standing problem with storm water flow back-up at the west side of 4th Avenue and 3rd Street heWfst (David ng action property owner at 302.4th Avenue) I suggest be considered. not ghthe Remove the existing culvert that runs north and south west curb line of 4th Avenue. This sufficient size to handle the high volume of storm water that comes down 4th Avenue. Remove the asphalt for a distance of 15 feet both east and west of said culvert. Dig out this area to allow a utter from the north gutter line, across 3rd Street t to the south gut to line. After the grade is established, p the entire provide a uniform dip. Rather than tear up intersection, I would leave the culvert that runs diagonal across the street, in place. .sincerely, James L.
