Kirk Blee presented a request for building permits for two
additional duplexes, on his property in the 500 block of woodland
Avenue, at this time, without developing woodland Avenue until a
future date when there is access and Woodland is developed.
Discussion.
a. City has a letter from Mr. Blee agreeing to his part of
the improvements of Woodland when developed.
b. Discussion about fire access to property and to develop
an access across Certificate of Survey #613 with gravel
for fire access only.
C. Not to issue building permit until the problem with the
fire access is resolved.
Motion by Jim Flisrand, seconded by Albert Ehrlick, to have
Fire Chief McGillen address his concerns and check with City
• Attorney Joe Leckie about fire easement across Certificate of
Survey #613. Motion carried.
Chuck Dickerson, from the Steering Committee for an SID for Murray
Heights north of W. 12th Street and below the Big Ditch, was
present.
Rick Leuthold with Engineering, Inc., presented the district and
estimated costs of the SID to the Street and Alley Committee for
blacktop, curb and gutter.
Discussion.
a. Storm run off.
b. Estimate cost.
C. Discussion on city commitment of helping with valley
gutter across W. 12th Street. Jim Flisrand presented the
Council and Street and Alley committee minutes which
showed there has been no commitment on the City's part.
d. Have SID Engineer make a survey of the area to determine
what design is needed. Then the City will meet with the
SID Steering Committee to review and make a decision.
Discussion was held on the Walk and Don't Walk signs at the
underpass. No action was taken.
Gay Easton reported that Mrs. Porter wants speed bumps put in Alder
. Ridge. Mrs. Porter could not get any support from the other
residents of Alder Ridge. No action was taken.
