STREET & ALLEY COMMITTEE
MAY 18, 1995 5:00 P.M.
PUBLIC WORKS OFFICE
1. Discussion on E. Maryland RSID and request from residents to
obtain approximately $70,000 from the Federal urban funds for
upgrading E. Maryland from Alder to Yard Office Road.
Jim Flisrand indicated that the city has contacted the state
office to determine if urban money can be used for
maintenance. The State will review the situation and respond
back to the City as soon as possible.
The Steering committee of E. Maryland would also like E.
Maryland to be placed on the priority listing of new
construction developed with Federal Urban Funds.
2. Residents from W. Beartooth area requested the City to install
signs on Beartooth indicating Slow- Children ahead. The
committee made a motion and seconded that it would not be a
good policy to install signs of this nature without a traffic
study to justify the need.
3. Discussion on trench work in public right-of-way and the
requirement of compaction. Jim Flisrand will review the
ordinances and city policies and bring his findings to the
next Street & Alley meeting.
