The project consists of grading and shaping existing road section and building a vehicle turn around at the end of West 6th Street on school property. Yellowstone County is willing to contribute time, equipment, material, and men to do all gravel work. West School would like the City to participate in half of the asphalt and storm sewer costs. Anticipated cost to the City may be approximately $10,000. Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Bud Johnson, that the City staff review the school's proposal and prepare a report for the March 5th council meeting. Motion carried. Jim Flisrand gave an update on the RSID on East Maryland Lane. The intent is to have the county repair the road bed and do some shaping with the residents adding base gravel and 3 inch asphalt lift. Work is anticipated to start spring/summer. Motor Patrol (Grader) bids were reviewed. Western Plains' champion patrol was low bid by $33,866.00, which includes a 5 year full warranty. The other two bidders were John Deere and Cat. The Champion patrol meets all specifications. Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Bud Johnson, to accept the bid from Western Plains.
