Jim opened the meeting in reference to the letter of May 2, 1996
sent to all the residents of Casa Linda Circle in regards to
removing their 90 gallon cans and replacing them with 300 gallon
cans.
There has been some concern on the placement and pickup of 90
gallon cans in regards to the safety of property in the area.
Discussion was held and with the aid of Jim's diagrams and the
input of the 2 residents that reside on Casa Linda it was decided
that on Friday Andy will aid in the placement of the 90 gallon cans
in 3 locations and observe the pickup of such cans with the truck
driver.
It is hoped that the new container site be open and operating
sometime in June if the weather cooperates.
Discussion was held on the ditch on 12th Avenue that comes under
the alley south of W. Maryland. The ditch is open and the
mosquitos and the problem of maintenance was discussed along with
the property owner wanting to landscape his yard.
Motion by Marvin Carter, seconded by Gay Easton, to pay for
50% of the 2411 culvert if the property owner were to pay 50% also,
and the City will enclose it when time and money allow. Motion
carried.
Discussion on the Murray Subdivision SID. Discussion on if 12th
Street Circle or any other concerned parties would like to form
their own smaller SID, from the existing SID on W. 12th Street,
Fairview Lane, Beartooth Drive and Briar Circle.
The existing SID must be abolished first and the City Attorney,
Council and the DPW must OK it in the best interest of the City.
Mrs. Barkley was present and concerned that her property should not
be in the existing SID. She will discuss it more with Jim.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
