STREET & ALLEY & GARBAGE COMMITTEE
December 12, 1996 5:30 p.m.
41 Old Council Chambers
PRESENT: Andy Loebe Gay Easton Wm. Staudinger
Dirk Kroll Jim Flisrand Bud Johnson
Ed Steffans Terry May Dave Chapel
Committee held a special meeting to open bids on a Refuse Truck and
a heavy-duty half-ton pickup.
A. Refuse Truck. Two bids were received.
1. KOIS Brothers Equipment $ 150,370.00
2. Solid Waste Systems, Inc. $ 142,853.00
Jim will review both bids to assure all specifications are met.
Motion by Bud Johnson, seconded by Gay Easton, to consider
disqualifying the bid from Solid Waste Systems, Inc., due to being
out of state and not having a representative locally to address all
warrantee issues, as required in the specification. Motion
carried.
B. Heavy--Duty Half-ton Pickup. Two bids were received.
1. Fichtner Chevrolet $ 15,944.18
2. Laurel Ford $ 16,676.15
Motion by Gay Easton, seconded by Bud Johnson, to have Jim Flisrand
review the bids and recommend one bid to the City Council. Motion
carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
