Dirk mentioned that he has had complaints about the water in the
underpass. Jim said that it may not be until late summer before
the state will get the problem resolved.
Ron mentioned that he misunderstood the motion on March 5th to add
an office/meeting room at the water plant and will ask to change
his vote to "no" during the regular council meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:57 p.m.

SUBJECT: Public Works- UPDATE
STREET & ALLEY
1. Continuing our street maintenance programs including pothole
patching.
2. Sign replacement as needed.
3. Crack sealed as weather permits.
4. Alternating between sanding and sweeping depending on weather.
PARKS & CEMETERY
1. Equipment, building and ground maintenance continuing
throughout the parks, cemetery maintenance, as needed.
WATER & SEWER
1. Meter replacement and testing program.
2. Plants continuing with normal treatment and maintenance
activities.
3. Water Improvements Project continuing with final design.
4. Emergency intake lines are being installed. Shipment of pipe,
fittings and weather has slowed the process. The emergency
temporary line is installed to allow installation of primary
water lines. Currently having difficulty sealing the dike
against the intake pier.
SOLID WASTE
1. Proceeding with collection and container site operation as
required. Winter maintenance being done. Considerable
maintenance required on used garbage trucks this year.
ADMINISTRATION
1. Building activity is continuing, with increased commercial
interest.
2. Engineering, Inc. is preparing additional options for Street
& Alley meeting on March 21, 1996. To move ahead with the
SID, decisions relating to reduced improvements and/or
increased assessments to each property may be necessary.
3. Prepared final Anti-Drug and Alcohol Testing and Procedures
Policy for CDL employees.
