COUNCIL CHAMBERS MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman- Chuck Rodgers Ron Marshall Chuck Dickerson (late) Albert Ehrlick Gay Easton John Minch Bob Graham Lonnie Kellogg OTHERS PRESENT: V. Joe Leckie Jim Flisrand Don Hackmann Vicki Metzger (late) John Rosenberg Cal Cumin Chuck Rodgers reported that we got the plat back on the Wasson Subdivision and Mr. Wasson has signed it. There are a couple of things he would like to bring up and discuss with us tonight. Gay and others reported about getting complaints on the taste of the City's water. Due to the notices in the paper and in the water bills, people are getting concerned if the water is safe to drink. Jim and John both reported about the high turbidity and having to 40 add more alum and chlorine to the water. The water in the river is pretty dirty right now due to snow melting and the open winter. Jim distributed and reviewed a public works update of 2-7-95. Chuck Rodgers referred to item 6 on tonight's agenda regarding the Water Plant project. They need to decide between option #1, 3.2 million dollars and option #2, 4.2 million dollars. John rosenberg reported that due to the number of D.U.I.Is that the Police Department handled last year, the D.U.I. Task Force is considering giving the City enough money for extra patrolling. This is in the preliminary stages right now. John said that Mike would like to keep the hiring list for Dispatchers for a year. Chuck said that we need to address this according to our new procedures manual. Jim reviewed the Wasson Subdivision plat with the council. Bob Wasson wants to change the 1994 agreement. Jim mentioned the changes, which will be discussed under Street & Alley committee minutes tonight. Cal mentioned that this is a City initiated subdivision. So the next guy that comes along and says that you did this for Wasson, you should do this for me. This is not true. This is a City initiated subdivision. We are dictating how this is done, to the advantage of the City.
