night.
Gay said that the underpass got cleaned up and it looks good.
He also mentioned that the ambulance committee meeting which was
suppose to have been held on September 13th was postponed until the
regular meeting in October. They will be discussing the new
ambulance service in the Laurel-Billings area.
Albert wanted to know how South Fifth is progressing. Dave Michael
reported that we have not received the final plat back from the
title insurance company.
Albert said that there is a big trailer parked on South Fourth,
which is a narrow street, and he doesn't know why the Police
department hasn't done anything about it.
Mike Atkinson said that they handle this type of thing on a
complaint basis, but he will check into it.
Dave reported that the intake pier is being cleaned and should be
completed in a couple of days.
Dave said that the Mayor has received a second opinion on the
landfill closure and a report to the Council will be forthcoming.
Dave and Mike will be absent from the next 3 council meetings due
to management training classes in Billings on Tuesday nights from
6 to 9 P.M.
Bob said that at the council meeting tonight he will entertain a
motion to enter into a contract with the company providing the
second opinion about the landfill.
Mike mentioned that Mike O'Malley, from the High School, contacted
him and they are going to have a cross country run the first week
of October. He wanted the council to know. They will run up
around the Middle School and High School. The police will assist
them with traffic control when the runners cross the streets.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
