CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
SEPTEMBER 6, 1994 6:30 P.M.

Lonnie mentioned that the fire department received their ISO rating
a couple of weeks ago. The fire department would like to thank
Dave for assisting them in testing the fire hydrants, etc.
Ron said that awhile back there was some discussion regarding Fox
Lumber having to comply with fire codes by installing or upgrading
their sprinkler system.
Larry McCann is going over to inspect Fox Lumber in two weeks. It
is his understanding that Fox Lumber has contacted a couple of
sprinkler companies regarding installation. We will know more
about this after Larry makes the inspection.
Donna is trying to locate a copy of the park rules and regulations.
A question has come up at Riverside Park regarding the length of
time someone can stay at Riverside Park.
'(Note: The City Clerk researched the record and found ordinances
authorizing the park board to establish rules and regulations, but
no manual indicating what the rules and regulations are.)
Gay made a progress report regarding an ambulance company buying
Arrow and Billings Ambulance Service.
Gay also mentioned that the Highway Department needs to clean up
the south interstate entrance coming into town. The weeds are 3 or
4 feet high.
Discussion regarding transients at Town Pump and IGA.
John mentioned that chip sealing is almost completed for this year.
Dave said that tomorrow we will be assisting the Little League in
hooking up water at the major league field. The sodding should be
completed by the week-end also.
Mike has a light bar at the Police Department that we don't use

anymore. Red Lodge needs one and he is asking if the City could
just give it to them. It was suggested that we should get
something for it, possibly $25.00.
Vicki said the August 25th license meeting has 10 pages of minutes.
She asked the Council if they would look at them before reviewing
them at the council meeting tonight.
Tomorrow night there is a license committee meeting at 7:00 p.m.
with Asphalt Supply.
Chuck reported on an MMIA Risk Management Workshop in Billings on
September 16th at 9:30 a.m. at the Lincoln Center.
The landfill users meeting in Billings has been changed from
October 4th to October 18th.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
