Chuck Rodgers mentioned that the annual Governor's Conference is in
Billings on February 16th, 17th and 18th.
There is an elected officials workshop at the Holiday Inn in
Bozeman on March 16-18, in conjunction with the annual Clerk's
institute.
Something still needs to be done about the heating system in the
Council Chambers, City Court, and Treasurer's Office.
Ron Marshall said that he has been making phone calls to try and
get something done about the blocked railroad crossings on the
southside. On January 29th all 3 crossings were blocked by trains.
He was told to contact the MRL yardmaster, but hasn't been able to
do so yet. Chuck Rodgers mentioned that maybe he should contact
the MRL safety committee.
Albert said that he received a letter from the Senior Citizen's
about cleaning ditch's and cutting the weeds by the two ditches
that run along the west side of the Senior Citizen's Center. Dave
said that the area is not level enough to get a piece of City
equipment in there to cut the weeds. He will check to see who uses
those two ditches. The Senior Citizen's would like a response by
March 1st.
Progress is being made on South 5th Street. There is a preliminary
verbal agreement.
Donna reported that she attended the Police Reserve meeting last
night. The Herbsfest Committee has asked that the dance floor be
enlarged so that minor's can be in there. There was no action
taken, but the Reserves did not look at that very favorably. They
think this is going to create a big problem, so the Herbstfest
Committee has gone back to review this again.
There will be a Garbage Committee meeting tomorrow night at 5:00
p.m. GEO Research will be giving a report.
There will be a Street & Alley Committee meeting Thursday at 5:00

Review the letter from the state and a letter to them from GEO
Research regarding the landfill.
Don mentioned that he made copies, for the Council and Keith
Thompson, of the minutes from last year regarding the review of the
Greyhound Bus Depot. This will give a background of what
transpired at that meeting, especially for the two new council
members.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:43 p.m.
