CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
DECEMBER 7, 1993 6:30 P.M.

Lonnie asked if we have heard anything about the acoustics in the
Council Chambers. Peggy reported that she has not received a
report yet from C & C Lighting.
The Budget/Finance Committee has approved the purchase of curtains
for the Council Chambers.
Several Aldermen reported that they have received phone calls from
people opposing Community Hope having a building located on the 200
block of Cedar Avenue.
Albert reported that Skip LeDuc was cited for dumping garbage in
the City's cans. (He lives outside the City limits)
Gay said that someone had called him about getting some gravel
dumped in an alley, but he will discuss this with Dave.
Dave reported that the crew is still picking up branches and that
the Spruce Grove project still needs to be completed.
Dave distributed a packet of information to the council members
regarding the proposed sewer rate increase. A public hearing is
scheduled for tonight during the Council meeting.
Don reported that Chip McKenna, MMIA Safety Coordinator, was here
last week and met with Dave, Darrell, Mike Atkinson, Dave
Slaymaker, and myself, regarding safety meetings and procedures.
Darrell McGillen commended Jim Morrison for an excellent report on
hydrant maintenance and testing.
Mike Atkinson said that he and the union president were going to
meet tomorrow and set up some safety guidelines regarding the

Police Department.
The Mayor said that after the council meeting tonight he would like
to meet with Bob, Ron, Dave and Peggy.
Chuck reported that the Spruce Grove project is nearing completion.
Regarding South 5th, Chuck said that he will get ahold of the
parties after the 1st of the year.
Donna commended the Mayor for working on the Spruce Grove Culvert
Project and seeing that it gets completed.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
