L.D. referred to the Public Utilities Committee minutes regarding a request for a 6% sewer rate increase. He said that he voted against it because he doesn't know where this thing stops. He realizes it is tough on us and everyone else, especially people on fixed incomes. because It was explained to L.D. that the raise should be 12%, there are things that should be done at the plant that are not getting done. In fact we still have to take some money out of the reserves to balance this year's budget. It is a very difficult situation for everyone. Donna said that the swimming lessons have been postponed until August. She said that we might have to make some refunds. It was mentioned that the City's policy is that the air temperature has to be 70 degrees before the pool is opened. Chuck explained the purchase of a new 1993 police car. The final preliminary budget column is not visible due to the clasps that hold the document together. The swimming pool summary is listed, but the detail page was inadvertently left out. 0n page 11, the 115 mills will need to be decreased to 106 mills to comply with I-105.
