COUNCIL CHAMBERS • is MEMBERS PRESENT: OTHERS PRESENT: Chairman- Chuck Rodgers Ron Marshall Norman Orr Donna Kilpatrick L.D. Collins Mike Atkinson Cal Cumin Don Hackmann D.L. McGillen Jim Worthington Donna reported that the J.C.'s are coming to the council meeting tonight to get approval to hold a street dance on the 4th of July week-end. Donna said that there is a complaint about the Brester' s on 6th Avenue having alot of cars around their residence. Some of them have no license plates. Apparently they switch plates and Mike Atkinson would like to have someone call the Police Department when this happens, so they can catch someone driving a car with the wrong plates. L.D. Collins mentioned that Mr. Bundy's sewer average was the same last year as it is this year. L.D. Collins said that Chuck Dickerson had called him about a meeting this Thursday regarding an SID in his area. He wanted to know if Jim had all the papers put together. Jim said that he has told Chuck that it is up to him to prepare the proper documents, that the City does not create an SID. It is the responsibility of the property owners to get a consultant and a cost estimate and prepare a petition and to get the job done. This will be discussed at the Street and Alley Committee meeting on Thursday, June 17th, at 5:30 p.m. Don reported on the Montana League of Cities and Towns District meeting held on June 10th in Billings. Chuck reported that the street work is moving right along. Wyoming and East 9th is pretty well patched up. In another couple of weeks they will start chip sealing. The crew has patched other areas around town, including the street north of the Credit Union. The Mayor received a letter from the Credit Union expressing how well the work was done. The drying beds will be completed soon. Two more are just about completed. Cal Cumin reported that there is a Public Hearing tonight on a zone change, but a decision does not have to be made tonight. Jim said that there is a valid protest. Cal said that they are asking approval of a zone change, saying they are only going to build 15 units, which is half the density permitted on that site. Cal went on to say that this has to go to the Board of Health for approval. The meeting was adjourned at 6:48 p.m. Res ectfully submitted, Don Hackmann City Clerk C7 •
