PLACE OF MEETING Council Chambers
Present: Chuck Rodgers D.L. McGillen

The Fire Department is busy. They have had some weird calls.
The new fire truck is working great. The department is at
full strength and morale is good.
The new washer and dryer is ready to be installed at the FAP,
which will be used for washing turnouts, jail blankets and
ambulance clothing. This should pay for itself and save the
City some cleaning costs.
An itemized bid is needed from Phoenix painting to paint the
FAP. Also, some fascia work needs to be done.
Discussion regarding a maintenance agreement with TAC to
maintain the boiler system at the FAP. A suggestion was made
to contact HVAC Technologies for a bid also.
Discussion regarding charging a fee for finger printing.
Billings charges and the people are coming over here to get
fingerprints. Also, jail fees and copy machine fees at the FAP
need to be reviewed.
When new employees are hired, the paperwork needs to be done
on a more timely basis. Some forms have not been completed during
the required time frame.
The City Parks have been in great shape this year. The
employees are to be complimented.
The garbage truck drivers are to be complimented also.
At times they have gotten out of their trucks to pick up things.
They have been doing a good job.
The ambulance service has been running smooth. The
ambulance is running good right now, but there is a possibility
of an exhaust leak. This is being checked out. Nothing has
been heard yet on the UPS grant application.
Discussion regarding keeping the "bay" doors closed at
the FAP Complex for security reasons.

• The Mayor said that when Jim comes back to work he wants him
to ease into things and take it easy for a couple of weeks.
The City is trying to get an extension for closing the old
Landfill and drilling test wells. The license we have is for a
container site and an application needs to be made for a transfer
site. The City has to be out of the landfill by 12-31-92.
Discussion regarding the remodeling of the old library
building. one contractor commented that it would cost about
$70,000. The building apparently isn't in as good of condition
as originally thought.
Another option that is being considered is installing an
elevator in City Hall.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:47 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Don Hackmann
City Clerk
