A quorum ( 3 or more) present the following action was taken by the committees
OLD EUSITTESS:
The hole in front of the new Roller Rink will, be repaired as soon as the culvert can
be purchased.
Buried tires are still needed on the corner of E. Maryland and Washington Avenue.
T&hgineer to shoot the grades on Pennsylvania Avenue as he has returned from vacation.
NEW T3U'SIITM:
Lonnie Kellogg appeared before the committee to see what was the problem with the sweep(vr
and he was told it should be in operation by 6-21--83 as we were waiting for parts.
Billings sweeping service submitted a. bid to sweep the sweeping district at a cost of
127,500. Motion by L. Peterson and seconded by T. Ludwig to turn down the bid. Passed,
Received a letter for abandonment of South 3rd Street, but no one was at the meeting
so the committee decide to send a letter to the interested partieF. and have them attend
our next meeting.
Les Keebler submitted a bid for gravel and sand, but it was too late so it was returned.
Motion by L. Peterson to award Laurel Conoco Bulk Plant the bid for Gas, Oil, & Diesel
Seconded by A. Loebe. Motion passed with oredissenting vote,
Motion by L. Peterson & seconded by T. Ludwig to send a letter to Jan's IGA to have the
cooler they have in the alley moved for garbage collection and routine maintenance. Passed
Motion by L. Peterson and seconded by M. Carter to start a. major patching and sealing
program with the engineer to list the priority streets vrith help from the council members
as to streets in their wards. Passed.
