Members present: Chairman Mel Krug Chuck Dickerson John Ward And Loebe Richard Herr Larry Peterson B. Other's present: Jan Stingley-,_ A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by the committee: OLD BUSINESS: Larry Peterson stated the City has received the easement to allow the City to proceed with building an alley west off of 8th Avenue in the Willow Creek Subdivision behind the lots on the south side of West-Maryland and north of the lots above Casa Linda Circle and that area. The cost of the gravel to be between $1500 and $2000. Jan Stingley wanted to know about the City's plans on the abandonment of the alley between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue bordering his property. Motion by Mel Krug to abaondon the alley between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue that borders Jan Stingley's property. Mainly from 5th Avenue to the west boundary of his property. Jan Stingley will give the City 40 an easement in the event the utilities pipes need to be dug up and worked on and the alley will be fixed and taken care of by Jan Stingley, seconded by Chuck Dickerson. Motion passed by all and referred to Council. NEW BUSINESS: Kelly Nelson, 519 W. 4th, wanted to know what could be done about the water problem on the corner of their property. The City will try to divert the water away from their property with either a blacktop dam or sandbags. Chuck Dickerson will talk to Harlan Lund about the county getting all the City streets that are still in the county plowed when there is a lot of snow on them. He will also ask about the placement of street signs at lst Avenue and W. 12th Street which would show the direction to Valley Drive, West 13th,.West 14th, and Beartooth Drive. Chuck Dickerson requested a study on the placement of a stop sign for the eastbound traffic on East 6th Street whee it intersects with Juniper as E. 6th ends at Juniper. A study was recommended to see about the budget for the Street Department for work and wages. There needs to be more funds available to do the patch work in the spring before the time comes to do the chip sealing. Also the amount of funds that we left in the budget for the men in the Street Department's wages. There was much discussion about snow removal and plowing. It was in regards to the removal priorities and then the plowing. The schedule . that was published in the Outlook will be followed.
