Mel Krug
Chuck Dickerson , L. D. Collins, Jim Flisrand.
B. Other's present: Campbell Calvert Ernie Davis, Mayor Gauthier,
Wayne eese
A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
The committee talked with Wayne Reese, Manager of Laurel Coop
Station, about the snowplowing around the station. Wayne stated
they will try to work with the City in the future.
The committee talked over the problems of snow removal and
grading. Ernie has talked to people in other cities and people
here in Laurel from past workers. There has been proven to be
more pavement damage with the snow plowed to the middle of the
street and left. There has been proven to be more accidents as
a result of the snow plowed to the middle of the street. When
that was done in the past there were many more complaints than
the way it was plowed so far this year.
By a motion from the committee, we recommend to the Council to
assess the property owners, as prescribed by law to get the snow
cleaning fund increased and to have more funds to buy more
equipment to use for snow cleaning or removal.
The committee recommends to have Joe Bradley draw up an ordinance
regarding snow cleaning and removal as per Alternate #1 plan.
Jim will get with Harlan Lund on Shannon Road.
Meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,'
