Ed Ecker, Terry's Quik Stop
A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Ed Ecker asked if the City could block the alley between
Western Drug and Terry's Quik Stop because of the mud making a
mess. After a discussion we asked Jim Worthington to find out if
it was a private alley or a city alley before any action could
• be taken.
Mr. Ecker would like something to be done about people making
U-turns on South 4th Street. The committee recommended that
Mr. Ecker appear at the City Council meeting to discuss the
problem.
Cashmore Memorial Chapel wants to widen it's driveway
approach from 12 feet to 30 feet. After a discussion, Chuck
Rodgers made a motion, seconded by Richard Barnhardt, to approve
the request. (see attached sheet)
First Baptist Church is requesting a street handicap parking space
with a ramp extending into the street. After a discussion the
Committee recommended non-approval because they felt that as
long as the church has off-street parking they can designate
their own handicap space. It was also noted that no ramp should
be built in the street. (see attached copy)
The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
