A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
First Order of Business:
Herman Sorg reported that Thomae Lumber is warehousing his
material on public streets, breaking up the sidewalks and the
streets with the fork lifts, allowing paper and trash to blow
on peoples yards, and waking people up at 3:00 a.m. unloading
trucks. Mike Penne at the Body Shop is allowing cardboard
boxes and other paper to blow into other peoples yards. He
is also piling his junk on the lot again.
Motion by Chuck Rodgers, seconded by Ron marshall that
the two of them talk to Thomae Lumber and Mike Penne before
taking any further action.
Second Order of Business:
A request has been made to build a wheel chair at H & R Block
at 3rd Avenue and W. Main. After a discussion a motion was
made by Ron Marshall, seconded by Chuck Rodgers to deny because
the ramp would have to be built on public right-of-way. Motion
carried.
Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Chuck Rodgers, that
L.D. Collins talk to H & R Block and explain why the ramp was
denied. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
