Members present: Chairman Lon Ke11o Chip Watts, Rot; Harris, Dave Michael,, Larry Peterson B. Other's present: George Fox Sand Sanderson Ken Toliver (Village Sub.) Ti? Bob Sprankel, John Pearson (ITT Grinnel Corp.) A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by the committee: The Utilities Committee made the following recommendations: 1). The $500 sewer surcharge fee be enforced at the Village Subdivision. The method of collection and any extended payments on the 51 lots already sold be left to the Council's discretion. 2) Village Subdivision be allowed to dump raw sewage into the well that is to be used for the lift station due to nonarrival of the pump. A maximum of 1500 gal. to be removed daily and under the inspection of Larry Peterson who be given the authority to shut down this procedure on his recommendation. 3) Dave Michael be allowed to make any adjustment necessary on Henderson water bill due to construction affecting the meter. 4) Bill Lohof be billed $83 for materials used to fix his water line and the City pay for the labor at 310 W. Main. 5) A water revenue increase of 12%.be undertaken in accordance with State law. This is needed to balance the Water Department budget. (See attached breakdown.) 6) City ordinance concerning the purchase of fire hydrants be amended to allow the Grinnell Corp. to bid the "Kennedy Guardian."
