PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE

A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
1) Committee will have Joe Bradley write a letter to the PSC concerning
the sale of taps between individuals on the private 2-inch line west
of the City.
?? 2) General discussion on the "Water System Analysis." Committee recom-
Ar,74 mends adoption of the Water System Plan of Phase I ($15,000) and
Ste'' Phase lI ($10,000) during the next two budget years.
3) Letter will be sent to inform Joliet that we will discontinue the
analysis of their sewer affluent when our new plant is in operation.
4) Larry has checked on an alte.rnate source of power for the water plant.
new generator - $40,000--45,000
used generator 25,000--35,000
military service gen - 7,000--8,000
plus $5,000 to upgrade
The committee will review this at a later date.
5) Committee recommends to have the property owners install and supply
their own meter loop and filters. City will supply and install
meter and remote.
6) Committee recommends full cooperation of the City employees concerning
Larry's directive on "transportation of chlorine cylinders in City
vehicles."
Meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
